Rebecca Graff interviewed on impending historic home demolition

Associate Professor of Anthropology Rebecca Graff was quoted in an article about the impending demolition of Chicago’s historic Phyllis Wheatley Home for Girls.

Graff worked on a 2006–2007 archaeological dig at the home that sheltered Black women during a pivotal time in Chicago history.

Demolition Court Looms for Chicago’s Last Phyllis Wheatley Home, Which Sheltered Black Women During The Great Migration” appeared on Block Club Chicago, an online newspaper that reports local and neighborhood news in Chicago.
